Noob Question about Prices (Bokken/Jo)

I'm relatively new and I'm considering buying a standard Bokken and Jo set and I'm just curious as to your average/reasonable price would be for a set.

Thanks!

Re: Noob Question about Prices

Kim Taylor will do a nice hickory jo, tanto and bokken set for you for about $105 that will last you forever.

Re: Noob Question about Prices (Bokken/Jo)

Hi David,

here in Brussels I bought two complete sets (Bokken, Jo, Tanto) with sheath for something like 45 €. They are not of brilliant quality; especially the varnish on the jo is rather a nuisance, but then there is always the possibility to
a) use sanding paper to get rid of the varnish
b) use instead of that jo a simple wooden broomstick...

But once I'm a bit more advanced and get the impression that I manage really well these arms, I'll replace them by better tools.

Best regards,

Eva
