Re: AikiWeb Software Updates
Hi Jun,
A cosmetic thing - it looks like the forums page ( www.aikiweb.com/forums) doesn't have an HTML title.
Cheers,
Daniel

Re: AikiWeb Software Updates
Hi Jun,
Just noticed that in the forums, the text on people's signatures seems to be overlapping the text in the body of their posts (which obscures the last few lines).
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Yes, I have been testing things out for the past few minutes. If you see something that's acting weird, please give it a minute or so to work itself out, as I may be actively working on it.

Re: AikiWeb Software Updates
Hello Jun,
I have a problem with one of my computers.
When I do not log-in, the text of the posts and threads spreads over the whole screen. When I log-in, the posts and threads are bunched to the left of the screen, as now, and the whole right-side area of the screen, about two-thirds of the screen, is blank. My computer is a Mac G5 with an Apple 30-inch HD display. It has a powerful video card, so I think there is no problem with the software.
On my PC computers I do not have this problem.
I do not know how to solve it.
Best,

Re: AikiWeb Software Updates
Hi Jun,
Not sure if anyone else is seeing this, but the "Quick Reply" box is way off to the right and no longer centered with the rest of the page. I'm seeing this on IE6, IE7 and FF2.x on two different systems.
Also, could you put the "New Posts" link back in the middle? It's not a problem really. I'm just use to seeing it in the middle and keep clicking the "Archived" link.

Re: AikiWeb Software Updates
Hi Steven,
I'm guessing we're talking about a Windows system? I'll take a look tonight or this weekend when I have access to one.
Thanks for your report,

Jun,
Yes -- Windows XP Professional. After rebooting, the issues now only appears to be with IE7, however, other forums using the same software are not having the same issue. I suspect it is something in the upgrades?

I have the same problem, but only with MS Explorer. With Apple's Safari there is no problem.

Re: AikiWeb Software Updates
Hi folks,
I believe I've fixed the Quick Reply box alignment issue.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if this isn't the case of if you find anything else that needs attention.
Thank you,

Re: AikiWeb Software Updates
Hi folks,
I've installed a spellchecker but have only been able to test it under Firefox 2.0 on my Macintosh here. You should find the "Spell Check" button below each message text area next to the submission buttons. The dictionary should contain a lot of aikido terms and names.
Please let me know if you run into any issues with the spellchecker and I'll look into it.
Thanks,
-- Jun

Re: AikiWeb Software Updates
Jun,
Cool! I'll post a message about aikido, budo, and Ueshiba to see if the spell checker picks them up.
Course, I could add shinto ryu, yoshinkan, ki society, hombu, honbu, tomiki, yari, jo, jodo, ikkyo, nikkyo, sankyo, yonkyo, kotegaeshi, shihonage, iriminage, shiho nage, irimi nage, kote gaeshi, kokyunage and kokyu.
Checked with the Spell Check button and all it caught was "honbu". Impressive.
Oh, I'm working off of Win XP Pro and IE 7.0.
Thanks!
Mark
