YouTube: Lorraine Dianne and David Halprin DC Demo 1984

Here is an aikido video clip of a 1984 demonstration of Lorraine Dianne (now 7th dan) and uke David Halprin (now 7th dan).

What are your thoughts on this video?

Fun to watch. I wonder what they look like today, 33 years later.

Vigorous? Maybe........

Having trained under DiAnne for a number of years and being one of her favorite crash test dummies for a number of years .......I mean Uke's ...... I can say in that demonstration DiAnne senses was at her normal training tempo or typical class demonstration pace. She wasn't putting on a show or turning up the intensity for an audience. If anything she might have been holding back a little.
