Hi,
My nephew has been attending aikido for a while now and has just progressed a belt. He's only 10 but loves it and was telling me all about the spiritual side.
I'd like to get him a special present that he will be helpful to him as he keeps it up. I thought about getting him the book
'the secret teachings of aikido' which he may enjoy a bit more in a few years.
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to something aikido related that would be special enough for him to keep?
Thanks,
Olivia
ps i really don't know much about aikido myself.

I don't know how much you are looking to spend, but the best gift my fiance got me was calligraphy done by Ikeda Sensei Shihan. It is definitely special as they are made to order and no two are exactly alike. There are a few to choose from, but you can also place custom orders.
Check out the website, the calligraphy is listed under Calligraphy (obviously)
.

There are other things on there as well that you could look into. I have ordered quite a bit from the site. Great people over there in Boulder!
