Question Where to get Hakama?

Can anyone tell me where I could buy a hakama embroidered with kanji (i.e. the person's name)?

Thanks in advance.

I heard that the Kiyota Company in Baltimore carries the Iwata brand. I have an Iwata I bought at the Budo Store in Paris and it is terrific.

I suggest you give Mr. Kiyota a call and request a catalog; apparently he has a lot of other top-quality, hard-to-find-in-the-U.S. merchandise. Ask if embroidery is possible.

If he had a url I would post it.

I'll assume you asked at your dojo already...if not, they may either know a place that gives you a discount, or I was even at a dojo once that had a specific gi and hakama the sensei wanted to see his students in. I think that is very rare, but before you spend 100 non-refundable dollars...
Oh, and since Chris is an equal gender nickname, bujin makes one designed for women (if you are one)---I personally wear the men's (yes, no big surprise) but several women I know love the women's version.

Bu Jin Design does not, however, have the capability of embroidering people's names onto their hakama...

great Hakama

Hi
I just got my Hakama from Tozando
http://www.tozando.com/eng/index.html

It is the best one I have now. Also, their service is fast and kind.

And... their Aikido-Gi is fantastic.
