"Aikido is helping an Iraqi to 'get out of the way of conflict'"

This article entitled "Aikido is helping an Iraqi to 'get out of the way of conflict'" describes how some San Francisco area Aiki Extensions members are helping Basher Ahmed, an aikido yudansha in Iraq, with a benefit aikido seminar. According to the article: "Last year, Ahmed's father was shot to death. The father of another Iraqi aikido practitioner was kidnapped and held for tens of thousands of dollars in ransom, and a member of the Baghdad aikido training center was killed in a car bombing After he received threats in the wake of his father's slaying, Ahmed fled the country. Now he's in Syria, trying to get his remaining family out of Baghdad, and his friends in the Bay Area are holding a benefit for him today."

Yes, I have to come clean...I did it. It was I and Kayla Feder Sensei who organized the Seminar (listed in the Seminar section, here: http://www.aikiweb.com/forums/showth...354#post185354 )! For some reason, the writer decided that I didn't rate a reference.

But man, was the Seminar amazing!

Hopefully, I'll be posting pic's later.

Anyone who wants to give their support (and, a $50 donation gets you a year in Aiki-Extensions, Inc) can either PM me (for this specific project) or you can donate directly, here:
