I can't view some of the threads

I'm having a weird problem, I cannot seem to view the three threads about the articles by Patrick Aug, I just get a blank page. These are the only ones I can't get. Anybody know why?

Kat

I find the aquisition of knowledge to be relatively easy, it is the application that is so difficult.

Weird. I just tried viewing those three threads using Internet Explorer 6 here (under Windows 2000, admittedly) and they came up OK.

Anyone else having problems in viewing these threads?

Well I feel really silly now, after I read your last post Jun, I figured it must be my computer and it was. I went to 'view' in my toolbar and checked the encoding and apparently I still had it set for Japanese. I'm still kind of puzzled as to why I could view all the other threads but those. Anyway I can see them now.

Thank you for checking out my problem Jun, sorry I didn't check the encoding first.

With that information, I just went and did some tests and found out that due to the accented "é" character in "Augé" in the title, this was causing IE 6.0 to not render the page. I've replaced the "é" character with "e" in the title so people viewing the pages with their Internet Explorer encoding options set to Japanese should now be able to see the above pages without any problems.

Thanks for doing the detective work, Kat!

Wow you mean I helped!? Maybe I'm not completely inept at this computer stuff.

And yes, that did fix the problem, thank you Jun.

Heh -- ineptitude is in the eye of the beholder.

As one 6th dan I know pointed out, he feels his aikido training is summed up in the poster on the following page:

Jun, that's perfect, I love it! Exactly how I feel about my aikido training as well, sums it up beautifully. Kind of sums up my efforts on the computer too.

Hi. Two threads posted in the "spiritual" section have disappeared

What happened? They were both good threads (1 of them just recently exceeded 100 replies).

The two threads were moved into the Chit Chat section as they no longer had aikido content.
