Talking multimedia clips

Hello there, I have an observation I would like to share. First of all, I'm sure it is difficult to maintain a web page let alone develop and add to it on a regular basis. However, I have been checking out some of the links on "Aikiweb" especially the video download area in the multimedia section. Is it possible to add more movie clips to this area or refresh it on a regular basis? Any thoughts on this?

Hi Jeff,

I think one of the difficulties with obtaining clips of Ueshiba, Chiba, Yamada and other top sensei clips if copyright - as most of these are for films. Aikido journal has some (but I presume they have the rights to show them 'cos they want to sell videos):

However, I would support your idea for more clips, particularly from Shihan(and particularly older footage), if they are not copyrighted.

Thanks for the suggestion! I, too, would love to be able to add more videos and such to the multimedia section. As Ian pointed out, most of the videos out there are copyrighted and presenting clips from them would be breaking the copyrights. However, I'm hoping to be able to get permission from more companies in the future so I can include more good stuff on this site.

Thank you for your suggestion!
