Greetings from Maracaibo (Venezuela).

Hi everyone, happy to join and eager to learn from all of you.

I´m an Aikido enthusiast since 1993, and (for the circumstance of having very few blackbelts in our city) one of the instructors of the Venezuela Aikikai Organization in our region.

So I hope to share and meet new friends.

Best wishes,

Gilberto.

Re: Greetings from Maracaibo (Venezuela).

Hello Gilberto,
I have two people from your city in my dojo. One is Juan Villalobos and the other is Alberto Pena. Juan was in Shotokan karate when he was there but Alberto started Aikido in 1989 and I believe he practiced in Zulia. Alberto is one of my assistants. Take a look at his biography on my website. Here is the link. http://www.shudokanaikido.com/module...php?storyid=26

Re: Greetings from Maracaibo (Venezuela).

Thank you Sensei, in fact I know Alberto, he trained with me for a time at the University of Zulia Dojo under the late José Padrón Sensei. I´m happy for his shodan test, please say hi to him.

And thanks to Jun too...

Best wishes,

Gilberto.

Re: Greetings from Maracaibo (Venezuela).

Thanks Gilberto,
I will see Alberto tonight at practice. His Aikido has become very good and strong and he is a good technician. His fundamentals and form were sound and he has built on that since then.
I always say that I can't take credit for his Aikido because he was already pretty good when we met him! The Sensei's down there do a good job.
Best wishes,
