Seagal's style more Hapkido than Aikido?

Well i got into a "disagreement" today. It was with a man who practices Hapkido. I mentioned im new at Aikido. He says that Seagal doesnt do Aikido at all. That its all Hapkido. I said " No it is Aikido, he is 7th Dan etc. He would not listen. So I walked away Is it Hapkido?

I suppose the correct answer is that what he does in the movies is neither; it is Movie-do.

You are right, he trains in aikido--but that doesn't mean he is doing aikido in his movies.
But that doesn't automatically mean it is hapkido either. I don't know if he has ever studied hapkido--anyone know?

If I were to compare the movies to martial art classes I guess I would say it looks like a flashy hapkido too. But it's just whatever looks good, right?

Segal...as far as I know has training in Karate, Kung Fu, Aikido and Kendo so I doubt that its Hapkido per say.
