With respect to aikido mindset:

The future and past do not exist; There is only the here and now.
When I harmonize with others, I do so with myself,
which exists or non exists only as my perception.
All others and that which surrounds me is as well one and the same.
In the everlasting now, I am, we are. Harmony flows and is...
there is no further need to seek it elsewhere, yet only to feel it.
There are truly no obstacles other than of my making.
I have mastered all that I require, yet I maintain the beginner's mind.
I choose to know everything, yet nothing.
I am you, you are me.
All in the perfect now.
~Thomas Dehn

-When two blades cross points,
There's no need to withdraw.
The master swordsman
Is like the lotus blooming in the fire.
Such a person has inside of them
A heaven soaring spirit.
- Tozan Ryokan
