I don't think its unreasonable for a well fitting bra that lasts a long time - I rotate through the 4 I bought originally and they have to be 8 yrs old by now. YMMV

True, I've never had a bra last more than a year before I tossed it. I also never bought a sports bra over 40 bucks.
Funny, I'll spend 60-70 bucks on Victoria Secret underwear, but I never invest the same into my sports bra. Funny how people are, me included, they never invest in the things that are good for them per-say.

From a male perspective, I'm sure VS has some great aikido underwear for girls. I just know if you wore it, you could get me on my back in no time!

Re: Girl supply question: sports bras
Hi Maggie,
I can highly recommend this Anita sports bra - I am a 32F (which may be too much information to share on here!) so I know your pain for finding good bras. It is fantastic for aikido (and jogging). Here is a link to a pic in white - this is on an Australian site but you can buy on US sites too.

It has a really good mesh back and is very comfortable. It is a soft cup so no wires to poke in. I don't notice it at all when I am training and it has washed and worn very well given it gets a pretty good going over from me thumping on the mats. It's expensive but worth it!

Re: Girl supply question: sports bras
Hello Maggie,
I am a 32F, so I know your pain in finding a decent sports bra. I can highly recommend this one from Anita - it's their 5527 sports bra. It's a little pricey (about US$60) but totally worth it. It's fantastic for aikido and jogging.
It's very comfortable, doesn't dig in or poke and has washed and worn very well, considering the harsh treatment it gets from me hitting the mats. Here is a link to it on an Australian site so you can see it in the white - it's also got a mesh back which is really good.

Good luck!

Thanks for the link.
I think what I'm learning here is if I want a good sports supporter, I'm going have to invest and stop being so damn cheap!
