2/04/2003 11:39pm [from Michael Black]

Shinjinkan Dojo in the Woodlands Texas just celebrated it's sixth anniversary on February 4th. Affiliated with the Aikido Association of America, Michael Black Sensei recieved the name (Shinjinkan) from his late teacher Fumio Toyoda Shihan in 1999. Black Sensei and his students celebrated their Dojo's anniversary by working on the build-out of Shinjinkan Dojo's new and improved location in the Woodlands. The Dojo will now be close to 5000' square feet in size and will house other Japanese Martial and Cultural arts. "My teacher (Toyoda Shihan) was always a stickler about his students making progress and often referred to Shinjinkan Dojo as "Ever-green...Ever Growing". With that in mind my students and I remain ever-dedicated to the legend and legacy of Fumio Toyoda Shihan".
