After almost a full year of sharing space with a karate dojo, Aikido Tenshin Dojo-Miami opened up its new state of the art 2,600 sqft. facility on April 5, 2004. The new dojo has a 1,500sq ft tatami mat area, men, women, & separate kids changing rooms, shower facility, a visitor/guest seating area which is being dubbed the "living room," a pro shop, and a juice/coffee bar. A grand opening seminar will be held on the weekend of May 1st & 2nd 2004.

All aikidoka regardless of style, affiliation, or rank are invited to attend. A donation of $50.00 for both days or $30.00 for one day will be accepted at the door the day of the seminar.

Along with Angulo Sensei chief instructor of Tenshin Miami, Sensei's Luis Santos (Tenshin-Orlando) and Eliott Freeman (Tenshin-St.Louis) will conduct the weekend seminar. For further information, please visit our web site at www.tenshindojo.com or email us at tenshinmiami@aol.com

I don`t know anything about the other instructors, but I attended a seminar taught by Elliot Freeman at the Harvard Aikikai in Illinois last year. It was nothing less than excellent. Mr. Freeman`s technique was superb but even better was his well thought out curriculum in which each class built upon the one before. If one has the chance to go, I highly recommend it.
