There is a fairly new article about O-Sensei uchideshi, Tohei follower and Kokikai Aikido founder, Shuji Maruyama sensei on the Nippon-Kan website. Written by Gaku Homma with plenty of Aikido history that will be of interest to any Aikido practitioner.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading that - very uplifting.

I've always wondered about his break with Tohei Sensei. Does anyone have any info on that?

I have a copy of his book Aikido with Ki, from what my Ki Society friends have told me it is still the technical manual for Ki Society techniques.

The Author of "Aikido with Ki" is Koretoshi Maruyama. As far as I know, Shuji Maruyama hasn't written any books.
