Living Aikido Life (the film)

I had a chance to view "Living Aikido Life", a gorgeous film by Bogdan Heretoiu. It beautifully demonstrates, through interviews with various sensei and practitioners, how Aikido principles can translate into life situations. There is one moment where Paul Linden Sensei shows a new student how being relaxed makes it easier to defend oneself and less likely to lose balance. Using a few careful exercises, he clearly communicates what takes a long time to figure out (or unlearn!) on the mat. That is but one of many gems in the movie.

The film is part of a larger project to foster conversation and outreach, particularly with schools. You can learn more about it and see a trailer here: http://livingaikido.life/

Re: Living Aikido Life (the film)

Ive just watched the 15 min preview. I could take this film a lot more seriously if I could take the Aikido I saw demonstrated seriously.
