Hi. I went to a class last month, and the teacher said that Doshu (Moriteru Ueshiba) had made a statement about how aikido should be practised. I wont post it. I just wondered if anyone had any info on anything the new Doshu had said about the practise of aiki. Don't take this wrongly, I'm certainly not looking for arguments about different ways of doing aiki, I'm just looking for info on what, if anything, Doshu has said. And remember... I'm a 2 year beginner, so keep it simple

KAMI : Excuse me, why not?

I just wondered if anyone had any info on anything the new Doshu had said about the practise of aiki.

KAMI : It's very difficult for anyone to say anything about something we know nothing about.

Don't take this wrongly, I'm certainly not looking for arguments about different ways of doing aiki, I'm just looking for info on what, if anything, Doshu has said.

KAMI : Whatever Doshu said, it would be of great importance just for Aikikai Hombu Dojo people. Not of utmost importance to Yoshinkai, Tomiki, and others.

And remember... I'm a 2 year beginner, so keep it simple
KAMI : Unless we get more information, believe me, it will be almost impossible for us to help you.
Best
