Rachel,

It was a pleasure to meet you as well. You are a gracious and delightful lady. I look forward to seeing you on the mat again. Best of luck with your dojo.

humble and embarrassed bows to you, and many thanks.

Folks out there, it was really great to meet someone face to face (or in this case, hand to wrist) on the mat and off. Mel introduced himself as someone who was on AikiWeb, and my first response was to go beet-red, wondering if there was anything that I had written that would have made me look foolish. But he was so kind and friendly, that thought soon vanished. If all the folks out here in cyber-world are that friendly, then we are truly lucky to have such a forum to meet, and a great ice-breaker for when we actually meet face to face.

I encourage anyone who can to go to the seminar Mel posted, as it will most likely be a great experience (I know both Mehter Sensei and Hardesty Sensei, and they are both terrific).

Rachel (still red in the face)

Tony G Sensei is my old teacher when I lived in Kentucky. We got a chance to visit and train together at the Cherry BLossom seminar this past weekend - I've also trained with Tom Berry Sensei. Should be a fantastic seminar!

Don't worry Rachel. I can't think of anything you have written, that made you seem foolish.

Our seminar is fast approaching and I've got my hands full with the organizing. It promises to be great fun.

One question. I'm still working on the party. Does anyone have any advice/caveats from throwing one yourself, or any you've attended?

Thanks,

Mel

I would love to meet some aikiweb folks at our seminar. Just a reminder, this Friday (May 16th) is the deadline for saving $10 by pre-registering.
