Bill Gleason promoted to 7th Dan

If you haven't heard, Bill Gleason from Shobu Aikido of Boston, a senior instructor in the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba and a long time student of Seigo Yamaguchi sensei, was promoted to 7th Dan by Moriteru Ueshiba Doshu at Kagami Biraki on January 13th.

If you want to offer him your congratulations I invite you to do so at his first seminar in Hawaii this March (see how smoothly I worked that plug into the post? ).

I'll be coming out with more details soon, but at the Hawaii seminar Bill Gleason and Dan Harden will be teaching together on the mat for the first time. This seminar will explore exercises for the cultivation and development of internal power, the terminology and methodology of Aikido Founder Morihei Ueshiba and the practical expression of these principles in Aikido techniques and movement!

See http://www.aikidosangenkai.org/news.html for more information and updates, I hope to see you all there!

Best,

Chris
