Shu Ha Ri - method of learning

I was wondering if any of you could further explain Shu Ha Ri and how it applies to martial arts in general, other professions and also to teaching.

It seems a fascinating concept and yet so little is mentioned of it

A difficult problem is easily solved by asking yourself the question, "Just how would the Lone Ranger handle this?"
