Re: Allen Beebe in the Netherlands - The Nether say Nether Tour

We have just finished an awesome seminar.

Allen was starting with a theory on IS / aiki after which he started explaining and showing us where to find the IS / aiki in the Tan Doka Dosa from Shirata Sensei.

All in all it was a very rewarding and exhausting seminar.

I hope to see all the participants again next year.

Re: Allen Beebe in the Netherlands - The Nether say Nether Tour

Thanks to all who came. It is a pleasure to work with such enthusiastic, open traing partners. It is also aparent that everyone's understanding and ability is positively evolving. I enjoyed catching up with friends, making new friends and savoring delicious food and/or drink.

I look forward to seeing everyone again next year and, with luck, the few who graciously let me know they couldn't make it this year.

As always, if anyone has feedback, suggestions, etc. please don't hesitate to share.

Thanks again,
Alen

"Allen started with a theory after which he explained and showed . . . . "

"I enjoyed catching up with friends, making new friends and savoring delicious food and/or drink."

Sounds like a great time . . . . but did anyone actually train?

Seriously, the teaching that resulted from the open and focused collaboration described on this thread is remarkable . . . . aikido redivivus. It would be interesting to see a similar catalyzing and transformational effort with taijiquan. This thread is an instructional, even inspiring example.

Cheers (raising a steaming mug of strong coffee on a cool gray morning during a time of year that used to be called "summer" around here . . . . ).
