Salutations!

Greetings an salutations to one and all!

I've been lurking and soaking up the articles and think the site is great.

I'm 30, emigrated to Germany from New Zealand about seven years ago and have been studying Aikido day and night now for about three months. I learned judo for several years as a child and kung fu for a while as a teenager.

After putting off starting a martial art for about 6 years, I spontaneously decided to begin Aikido one Friday afternoon after trying out a few breakfalls and discovering that my technique strongly resembled that of a collapsing building rather than a graceful roll.

I was hooked from the first lesson onward. It was like coming home.
