Dan Harden at Systema school; Richmond VA. 12/15/12
Hello everyone
This seminar has been the result of me meeting a series of System teachers as well as students across the U.S. Most know that on the whole I am a fan of what Systema has to offer. I have had some critiques of what they are missing internally, but I consider it a small part of their excellent overall game plan. A couple of guys have asked me to do this for a while so this is the venue.
I will be covering basics of internal movement and connection, use of force, and directing and redirecting energy.
I am waiting for the address and will post it here.
Cost is $180.00 paid by PayPal homeoffice@charter.net
Registration requests to dojoseminars@gmail.com
Training is:
10-6 Sat
10-6 Sun
Please wear sweats or track suits and NON martial art related T-shirts.
Thanks
Dan

This is a little over 6 hours from me, but I'm going to try to make it. Sounds like fun.

Richmomd sounds like a good venue - there is an Iwama group down there that I had the opportunity to train with a few years ago at a Bill Witt seminar - hopefully some of them may have an interest in attending. I think I will try to attend as well even though I will be seeing Dan in NY the weekend before - have to check the logistics and finances with the wife

Please let us know soon if there are any openings. I would love to attend but I'd need some lead time to get a hotel booked and get time off work for travel, as Richmond is a long way from Ohio

Re: Dan Harden at Systema school; Richmond VA. 12/15/12
I attended.
I mostly laughed at myself and some of my regular people came and mostly laughed at me.
We succeeded in getting others to laugh at themselves.
Somewhere during the weekend we trained what was referred to as...
"Weird s#/t! that works!"
"Incredible stuff!"
And one teacher exclaimed..
"This is ...it!!"
Then we went back to laughing...mostly at me.
Oh..the food was great!
Wish you could have been there!

Re: Dan Harden at Systema school; Richmond VA. 12/15/12
I was amazed at the depth and breadth of the experiences of the people that were there. Everyone worked hard, worked together, asked insightful questions, and of course, laughed at Dan's antics. They were a great group to meet and train with. From a personal point of view, they also stood out as exemplary people off the mat. I'm very thankful to Steve, Joe, Andrew, Dan, Don, Terri, Greg, Paul, Glen, and others who went above and beyond. It's people like these that not only train to achieve the higher ideals of the martial arts on the mat, but also live and breath those same ideals outside the dojo.
Thanks again!
Mark

Re: Dan Harden at Systema school; Richmond VA. 12/15/12
I am still laughing at Dan - It is my favorite past time; I sit here, think of Dan, and laugh; especially when I think of him singing
Also, great group of people down there in Richmond - it was a pleasure meeting and working with them; also, a very talented group - they picked things up very quickly for total newbies in IS
As for Mark, he is my hero - he had a bit of a personal mishap with his car Sat morning that would have pegged my stress meter for the entire weekend if it was me - but he handled it well and did not let it interfere with him having a good time and focusing on his training.
