Great Idea for a Kids' Martial Arts Program

This is quite possibly the best kids' martial arts program I've ever seen.

They can go all-out, and it's clearly enjoyable for them; just a more intelligent extension of the play-wrestling we all did with our siblings. In fact, I'd probably say that a person with 5-10 years of childhood experience in this would have more of an edge coming into aikido later than if they'd spent that time doing Kidz Lite Aikido (tm).

[Note: Usual disclaimer about being uncertain about this being the correct topic to post this under.]

This is absolutely brilliant. I love it. Martial arts are love and friendship. Yay.
This looks alot like my kids class too.

Re: Great Idea for a Kids' Martial Arts Program

Looks excellent - I wish I could go back in time and enroll myself in these classes. =)

Kajukenbo is like jkd, each school can be very different, but this Tyrrell Ohana has a great design for a kids class.

I don't have kids of my own, but I'm always a great babysitter/entertainer for my friends - I teach them aikido rolls, some gentle judo takedowns, and some bjj sweeps and positions and then they tire themselves out pretty quick.

(or mob attack me 6 on 1...)
