Thank You 3 Shapes Aikido

Hello folks,

I wanted to publicaly thank Alejandro Sensei and his students for a great training session this past week. I was in Boise, ID this past week on work related travel and managed to get in one practice at this absolutely beautiful dojo.

Alejandro Sensei and all his students were great to train with and more importantly, to me anyone, had great technique. At the end of class. Sensei and I did a bit of jiyu-waza for the class which was a lot of fun. Afterwards, we had a nice sit down dinner and as I find in most cases, our shop talk revealed we had more in common than we did different.

I highly recommend this dojo to anyone traveling through town or who live in the area and are looking for a dojo.

Cheers ...

Re: Thank You 3 Shapes Aikido

Hello Steven!

I hope you enjoyed Boise, I moved here from the Roseville, CA area about 4 years ago. I do go back and visit family quite frequently though. I didn't practice Aikido when I was in California, but jujitsu.I didn't start Aikido until I got here in Boise and met Miller Sensei. I am glad to see the different Aikido Dojo's that are available in the Sacto area. Hopefully next time I am in town I will have time to visit yours!

I have not practiced with Alejandro Sensei here in Boise, but have heard a great deal about him.

I am glad you enjoyed your visit to our wonderful City of Tree's!

~Trish

Hopefully, you'll be here mid-July, in between DC Summer Camp and Rocky Mountain Summer Camp... You can tell, I don't have enough going on... maybe I should take up kenjutsu as well, just to keep myself busy.

Just as an aside AlejAndro Sensei did his San Dan test this past weekend with Ikeda Sensei here in Seattle. Quite nice, great spirit! Congratulations!

AlejAndro and I discussed over dinner that he was heading up your way and that he was eligible for sandan. Great to hear he was able to take the exam. He has wonderful technique and yes, great spirit.

Thanks for passing this along.

Next time you see Alejandro Sensei, ask him to play his didgeridoo for you.
