Re: "Spiritual Sport", Peter Bernath Article

Extracted from the article: "Since turning to aikido, Bernath aims for what he calls an Asian-inspired ``simplistic life.''.

Simplicity, that is the key word, aikido should also be like that; simple and minimalist and in harmony with the natural state of being.

Does anyone here know of Peter Bernath ? Just curious.

Yes. But I live 5 minutes from his dojo. Actually, as someone posted, he travels to S. America regularly and also, E. Europe. He's very well known not only in the States but around the world. Nice guy, too. Strong player. Excellent dojo. Lots of good students (Gene Nelson, btw, just took SANDAN; he is a cop with a SANDAN in Shotokan Karate, too. Beautiful technician.)

Yes.

I recently attended a seminar at our dojo where he was the guest instructor. Needless to say, it was an excellent seminar.
