What a great seminar. Sensei was in great form! Demonstrating mainly basics with a focus on principles (as usual - but it never gets boring:-). About 70 people on the mat for every class. Great tests with strong & committed attacks from uke's. The ones being tested earned their rank for sure! The last thing we did on Sunday was seitai (Japanese massage). Sensei had us partner up and showed us some massage waza! Great way to end a seminar in my books.
A special thanks to all the attending aikidoka who undertook considerable expense and effort to be present. I think everyone went home feeling good about the training and the relaxed atmosphere during the seminar. The aikido network and dojo connections are stronger today on the Westcoast of Canada than before.
