Aloha from Hawaii

Aloha, I am a husband and father of a high energy 3 year old boy. I remember how martial arts focused me as a young man for so many years. I was wondering if anyone knows of a Hawaii based parent-child class that I could get involved in. It would be great to grow in Aikido with my son and maybe even get my wife involved. If you know of such a class please let me know.

Aloha and have a wonderful holiday season! Best of wishes to all of you around the world!

Re: Aloha from Hawaii

3 years old is a little young. There is a mother in our group who has her shodan. She from time to time had to bring her young daughter to class. The young girl had to learn when to be quite and when it was ok for her to be on the mat etc. She is old enough to be in the children's class now but had picked up a lot of the discipline expected before even participating. Watching will not take care of the energy of the 3 year old but running around the mat after a class will help. Find yourself a good club and jump in.
