Pictures from Phoenix Matsuri 2005

Here's some pictures from the Phoenix Matsuri Japanese cultural fare that I took this past saturday. Included are a decent number of Aikido photographs from the Arizona Aikido dojo. It's not my dojo, but their technique is similar to what I'm learning.

Here's the Link

I didn't take any pictures of the randori because I was enjoying watching it so much. The matsuri was overall a lot of fun. This was my third year to go and each year it's a bit better than the last.

Didn't your dojo do a demo this year? I had thought you guys participated there every year?

We didn't do a demo this year. I'm not sure what sensei's full reasons for not going, but I think he mentioned that with the seminar and belt testing along with the fact that we've never gained any students from the Matsuri had something to do with it.
