Tozando Embroidery
Hi,
I am about to place an order with Tozando for a Black Polyester Hakama with Embroidery, however I'm not sure what to put in the Embroidery request box. What I would like is 'Michael' written in katakana, but I'm worried that if I do put that they will simply use the katakana for Michael instead of what it actually should be: Ma-i-ke-ru. Can anyone tell me what they will do?
Yours respectfully,
Mike Moazami

Re: Tozando Embroidery
I'm confused. It sounds like you want to have マイケル embroidered on your hakama, but are also afraid that if you put マイケル in the box to specify what you want that you'll actually get マイケル. What's the questions again?

Re: Tozando Embroidery
I asked for DAZ on mine as a bit of a joke expecting it to be converted into some nice kanji.
It wasn't.

Re: Tozando Embroidery
I see how I may have been confusing and apologize for it!
What I should have said is that I want Michael embroidered, what do I put in the box considering that my name in Japanese is Pronounced Ma-i-ke-ru?
However, It's now kind of irrelevant as I think I may go with in kanji instead! To me it looks better!

Re: Tozando Embroidery
So you don't want マイケル, then?
You put what you want embroidered on your hakama in the box for what you want embroidered. If you want "Michael" you put "Michael". If you want "マイケル", you put "マイケル".

Re: Tozando Embroidery
No, I think that I'll go with , unless that is it would be considered disrespectful? Also, roughly how big is each character?
Respectfully,

Re: Tozando Embroidery
Letter size is from 3cm up. There is a list box on the order selection screen for selecting letter size

Re: Tozando Embroidery
Hello,
Would just like to say that I received my hakama {with the Kanji for aikido embroidered on it}. However I believe that I have been sent the wrong colour; I ordered black, but it seems to be a kind of deep blue, has anyone else experienced this or am I just a one off?!
Regards,
Mike

Re: Tozando Embroidery
I ordered the Aikido 100% Polyester hakama. It's the weirdest thing as I was really happy with my last order from Tozando...

Re: Tozando Embroidery
Mistakes happen. It's how they deal with mistakes that counts for me. I've made two trouble free orders from them. Let us know the outcome.
Good luck,
Vic

Re: Tozando Embroidery
Tozando sent me the wrong size hakama and then promptly sent me the correct one. I was pretty surprised by their quick action. No complaints from their customer service dept. here...

Re: Tozando Embroidery
Hi,
I managed to speak with one of there representatives via the Internet this morning and it turns out that they want me to send my current hakama back. Following that they'll send me the right colour one. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with that except for the fact that I have a grading {Karate, where I'm helping out} on Sunday that I should wear it to! Oh well c'est la vie!
Regards,
Mike

Re: Tozando Embroidery
Hi,
Just to let you know, I rang them up and basically, following e-mailing them some pics of the hakama to confirm the problem, I had to return it {which I did today} via U.P.S. {Which they will pay for} and as soon as the black variety comes back in stock and is embroidered they wil send it to me! So, overall, I'm impressed with the way they handled it! Thanks for all the replies!
Regards,
Mike
