Wendy Palmer Sensei Passes Away

Posted 2022-12-03 09:39:10 by Jun Akiyama
News URL: https://www.tam-aikido.org

I have gotten word that Wendy Palmer sensei (7th dan, Aikido of Tamalpais) passed away on December 2, 2022 due to lung cancer.

Wendy started aikido in 1971 in San Francisco, California, with Bob Nadeau. She met George Leonard and Richard Strozzi-Heckler at Aikido of San Francisco on Turk Street; the three of them would establish Aikido of Tamalpais in Mill Valley in 1976. She was the founder of Leadership Embodiment which brought together her experiences in Aikido and meditation.

My condolences go out to her family, students, and loved ones.
