Circle Triangle Square
I've read numerous things on the deeper Shinto/Buddhist meanings of these symbols and how O-Sensei related them to Aikido. I'm wondering if a simpler interpretation based on physical aiki techniques is possible? Specifically...
Circle: kaiten-nage, a circular throw
Triangle: irimi-nage, which uses triangles for both stance placement and upright alignment. Also, the wedge shape symbolizes penetration or entering.
Square: shiho-nage. This one is blatantly apparent; often translated as "four corners throw", it is a perfect definition of a square.
Is this interpretation too simplistic perhaps?
