Aikido- what's the one thing...........
If you could only communicate only one idea about aikido to some one, what would it be and why?

First word that comes to mind, would be "physics". Though I suppose, depending on perspective, that can be said for all Martial Arts.

Alignment...and by that, I am not just referring to physical alignment, but alignment in a variety of ways.

For me, it would be that aikido uses a set of principles that when applied can create harmony both on and off the mat.

Re: Aikido- what's the one thing...........
coming from an AJJ perspective I would say the power of yielding. It is the principle concept that has led me to become a Jujutsuka. Blending and harmonizing are expressions of yielding and I believe with practice and dedication can become very effective forms of self-protection.
