You know it's funny I've been thinking about that recently. I have been learning how to longboard and have been using the concept of maai to avoid being hit by cars/hitting pedestrians. When I first set foot on him (I named him Tyler
) I was always panicking and running into stuff because I just couldn't relax. Now I'm starting to develop a feeling of when I need to drag my foot to come to a sudden stop, or when I can simply carve around obstacles. It is sort of like maai, just feeling what is the proper distance. IDK hard to put into words.
