Aikikai is not a style...it's an organization, and the group that labels itself Iwama style, has for most of it's 'existence', been a part of that same Aikikai organization. If you do a search on Iwama aikido, you'll probably be able to get a sense of it from what you read. Some things you might casually notice;
more kiai
more weapons work
more atemi, even in basic movement
very formal
very well defined kihon, or basics, and progression from kihon to advanced waza.
These things can most likely be found in many dojo, aikikai or not, but they do tend to stand out quite a bit in Iwama dojo.
