Deshi and Master

The Student (He who knows not)
He who knows not and knows not he knows not: he is a fool - shun him.
He who knows not and knows he knows not: he is simple - teach him.
He who knows and knows not he knows: he is asleep - wake him.
He who knows and knows he knows: he is wise - follow him.

The Teacher (He who has the skill/knowledge)
He who has not and knows not he has not: he is a fool - entertain him.
He who has not and knows he has not: he is a fake - avoid him.
He who has and knows not he has: he is asleep - steal from him.
He who has and knows he has: he is the master - follow him.

Talk about a tongue twister. This is so funny and yet so right, thank you, David, I will save this.
I think I will even try to memorize it. Now, that's gonna be a thrill!

Hi Marie,

The first part - He who knows - is purportedly from Omar Khayyam, the famous Persian mathematician, philosopher and poet

Hi David,

And then there's this from that famous war criminal and after dinner speaker :

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.--Donald Rumsfeld

Regards,

Rudy
