Re: A simple tip to improve your techniques at training.
Ben, there's a difference between copying an excerpt of your own content, or writing an abstract of same, and wholesale copying of someone else's content. It's too bad that you feel "click bait" is an insult, but remember that clickbait doesn't imply you're getting paid, not in the least. It implies that you're using a sensational or provocative teaser to drive traffic to your site, which would certainly appear to be the case here. If the shoe fits...
Now, yes, it's an external aikido blog, and that is the purpose of this particular forum, so no one's going to kick if you don't post ALL the content here...but I don't think that's what Janet was reacting to. I think there's a nice comfortable middle ground between clickbait and posting everything here. I had (I believe) the same reaction: no, I'm not gonna click based on a deliberately provocative one-liner. I know it's a tried and true technique, but frankly, it feels manipulative. Give me more than that single line, tell me what you're going to tell me about, something like "Blah de blah method really can take your aikido from good to better - read about what I tried and what I found out" is more likely to get me to click.
