Hello,
Ms. Massey,
I did pretty much the same thing Erik suggested, it should work regardless of the software you use to build your website. Good luck with the video clips, Take Care!
Thanks again to everyone for the positive comments regarding the video clips on the Aikido of Cheyenne web site. I may add some more in the next week or so, perhaps some buki waza or henka waza.

Louis, if I may insert my $5000.02 ... please pick an energetic male uke next time, preferably someone closer to your size.
With all due respect.

Mr. S,
Thank you for the feedback. I'm sure my wife would appreciate that as well. Take Care.

Okay, struggle, struggle, struggle!
I have a very "rough" video on one page, and I can't seem to get rid of the sound. Right now it comes up automatically when you go to this page http://www.raisinriveraikikai.com/feedback.htm
I am getting somewhere. feedback is great, but be polite please.
thanks,
Rachel

I have nothing against you, your wife, your Aikido, your dog, or your taste in coffee.
However maybe you should have your wife be the nage next time.
I just don't see a point in making a _demonstration video_ of a technique against a uke who's more fragile in build than nage.
It's much harder to see what's going on.

Hello,
Mr. S,
No offense taken, I understand your point of view. In defense of using my wife though, and her being more fragile than myself; my wife is a two-time national karate champion (gold medal in kata and gold/silver medal in full contact kumite). Additionally, she can military press over 200 pounds and squat nearly 400 pounds. I don't and neither does anyone else who has trained with her, consider her fragile.
But, you're right, from the video it appears as though I'm tossing around someone much smaller and weaker than myself.
Oh, and I don't have a dog and prefer tea over coffee

Louis, nice video clips...
Rachel, try updating your QT, maybe? Anyway, video clips would be good, as long as they're big enough to see and such (I hate those that are like 100x100 resolution that you have to squint at).

okay, I've played around with my site some more, and think I might have a solution. What I did was make a couple of photos hyperlink to video clips. On my computer, they appear to be rather jerky though, even though the mpegs look very smooth. If anyone wants to take a quick look-see and see if they know what I can do to smooth it out (and whether they work okay), please do so. The two "hot" photos are on the About the Club page, and the schedule page.

The clips seem to work fine.
I like the tenchi-nage clip in particular.

Mrs. Massey,
The clips look very nice! Looks like a very friendly atmosphere, I can see you and uke smiling during the techniques
I'm glad you were able to get the videos to work, Take Care!

Dear Rachel,
the videoclips look great. Maybe to great even, because I could watch them full screen at descent quality. Maybe you should find a different balance between quality and filesize, because not everybody has a fast internet connection.
Good luck with your club and videos

thanks folks for your comments, and I appreciate all the input over the course of this exercise. These clips are so typical of the way I practice, and in particular with my friend Shawn, we are always smiling. I finally overcame my anxiety about this and figured that folks would like to see what aikido looks like practiced by regular folks (as someone said earlier in the thread). Anyways, thanks again for the help!
best,
Rachel

Very nice videos on your Raisin River Aikikai site! I have just one small suggestion. You may want to create a separate link that says Video Clips or Multimedia. That way if someone comes across your site they can find the clips right away. You can leave them on your other pages as well. Keep up the good work.

nice site!
Yours is the first site I've see where it fades into the new rooms as you click on new links. Nice touch.

Thanks Kelly and Mayland!
They are fun to have up. I'll have to remove several of them though, as I've exceeded my limit on my website. If anyone has a suggestion as to which ones they would like to keep in there, that would be appreciated.
best,
Rachel
