Aikido for kids

I have a hard time trying to teach the technique names to kids . Even the adult class. Is there any other way . Some people say, "why is it important to learn the names , we cannot use it anywhere else." like If someone attack you cannot say "shomenuchi kiawase".
How can you approach a different level group the technique names that are a totally different language
Don't get me wrong these student willing to learn but its like a doors stopper. these kids are at "risk".
