Heidelberg, Germany

Hello Aikidoka. If anyone is visiting beautiful Heidelberg, Germany, we have a nice little Aikido Dojo that you can visit. We have international members (Argentina, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Russian, and the US) and most are members of Shinki Rengo Aikido or Aikikai Deutschland. Shinki Rengo Aikido is an Aikikai Federation lead by Daishiro Michael Nakajima Sensei, 6th Dan Hombu Dojo and 8th Dan Shihan, Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu Bokyuyokan. Aikikai Deutschland is lead by Katsuaki Asai Sensei, 8th Dan Shihan. You can find us at: http://www.psv-hd.de/Aikido/index.htm. Please drop by and join us if you are in the area.

Re: Heidelberg, Germany

Thanks. I will remember that! I just returned from Heidelburg last week! However, I was much too busy to train there!

I will be back over in a couple of months! You never know!

Tschuess!

Re: Heidelberg, Germany

If you invite ppl from over the world it would be nice to have web site in English. Presently nobody will find your dojo.
I may come one day to Walldorf, unfortunatly I don't speak German...

Re: Heidelberg, Germany

If you come to Walldorf and you want to visit, just give me a call or send me a note. Unfortunately I don't own the website and it's in Germany so the club has many different arts and isn't interested in posting things in English.

Re: Heidelberg, Germany

Hi Rick Soriano,

I am Thomas Martinez. And living in Vaihingen, Stuttgart. Thank you for the open invitation. I will try to visit Heidelberg sometimes.

My apologies for not writing German. Currently, learning the language with very little understanding.

Re: Heidelberg, Germany

Hi Thomas, Fabian, and Kevin,
Stuttgart is about 45 minutes away from Heidelberg. Again, the invitation is open to all. There are a lot of dojos in Stuttgart too.

There's a seminar with Kenji Hayashi on 5/6 Apr 08 at MTV-Stuttgart -- http://www.drbt.de/Aikido/downloads/...tApril2008.pdf. Kenji does Taido and mixes in Aikido. He is a very interesting individual (a student of Tada Sensei and formerly of Asai Sensei).

Re: Heidelberg, Germany

Hey Phil. Not sure if Rick is checking Aikiweb these days much. He is still up in Heidelberg though and I have trained at his dojo a few times. Great folks and no problem with English/Deutsch as most of them there speak english.

Also, if you get down to Stuttgart, let me know, I should be around.

I communicate with Rick on Facebook occasionally so let me know if can't get in touch with him or the dojo.

Re: Heidelberg, Germany

Hey, Kevin. Thanks for your answer. I know I'll be it Stuttgart too but when would be a good guess. I used to workout also in Langen by Frankfurt and had a blast. I am glad most speak English there but then again, the Germans are good linguists anyway. Maybe sometime you can come up to Heidelberg, when I am there, and we can "party" on the mat. Always fun learning something new from a different perspective. Have a good week.

Re: Heidelberg, Germany

If I can...I will try and come up. Too early to tell. I need to...I haven't trained with Rick for a while!
