YouTube: Kazuo Chiba in Madrid, 1975

Hi folks,

Here's a video of Kazuo Chiba teaching in Madrid, Spain in 1975.

Kazuo Chiba started aikido in 1958 as an uchideshi under Morihei Ueshiba. He received his 3rd dan in 1960, 4th dan in 1962, and 5th dan in 1965. He moved to England in 1966 and received his 6th dan and shihan title in 1970. He returned to Japan in 1975, then moved to San Diego, California in 1981 under the invitation of the United States Aikido Federation. He is currently 8th dan and leads the Birankai International organization.

What are your thoughts on this video?

Great Video, really powerful waza. Chiba Sensei's uke is vey good.As I can testify from personal experience as Uke you needed to be able to accept whatever Sensei gave you. Aikido displayed on this vid is truly martial in nature. Cheers, Joe.
