If I am presenting Sensei with a gift on behalf of the class...is there a correct way of doing this?
I think: I get the gift from the back of the dojo, walk to the right hand side of the mat about half way between Sensei and the rest of the class at the back, sit in seiza, bow to Sensei (in a 45 degree angle to the front/Shomen), then stand, walk to Sensei, sit in seiza in front of him and present the gift in the usual way?
A few years ago I remember this procedure from my previous dojo but have not seen this done in my current dojo (same organisation though).
Or would you walk straight to Sensei, sit, bow, present, bow then return to the back?
Obviously in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter but grateful for any feedback.
