Re: E-Bogu white oak bokken & jo set
I dont have direct experience with the weapons but the weapons bag is not that great. Its certainly serviceable but its neither very attrative nor durable. But then again, the entire set can be had for the cost of a bujin weapons bag so overall a very good value.
You might also want to check out Kim Taylor's SDK out of canada. He has comparably priced weapons sets (sans bag) that he hand crafted out of hickory. They are lighter so be aware of that but less prone to splintering or warping from my experience.
Good luck!
ps: i believe ebogu is offering a 10% discount for thanksgiving if you use a coupon code at checkout. I deleted the email but you could probably find it online or maybe another aikiwebber could post it here.

I've been to their old warehouse and have handled their wooden weapons there. Although I haven't trained with them, they seemed to be of good quality and acceptable manufacture. The other products I've purchased from them have been excellent and their customer service is terrific.

Does anyone have any experience with this set, or with either of these weapons individually? They appear to be pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, and this is definitely a better deal than I'm going to get from my dojo, but I'm wary of buying something without seeing it in person.

Yes, we have been using these weapons in my dojo last few years. Very good quality, they not break or crack even after very heavy use with a lot of contact.I recommend it.
I'm also happy with ebogu customer service - fast, polite and efficient.

Re: E-Bogu white oak bokken & jo set
Thanks for all the input, guys. I just got the set two days ago, and worked out with the bokken for the first time this morning. I love them so far.
