The Shudokan Aikido Association region of northern Mexico and south Texas will be holding a weekend seminar in Harlingen, Texas on May 23-24, 2009 featuring Eliseo Munoz (5th dan SAC/Tanakaha and 3rd dan aikikai), Joe Cavazos (4th dan SAC/Tanakaha and 2nd dan aikikai) and Jorge Garcia (4th dan aikikai). Information regarding times and fees can be found on our website. All affiliations and all martial arts are welcome to attend. We follow the teaching of Shihan Hiroshi Kato, 8th dan aikikai who was a personal student of the founder of aikido.

Re: Northern Mexico & South Texas Regional, May 23-24

Seminar will go on as scheduled... For a while there we thought about re-scheduling due to the Swine Flu Epidemic... Cooler heads prevailed though. We will break for frequent hand washings and we will have plenty of alcohol-based hand sanitizer for each participant. We are expecting a good turnout and will be having a great workout.

I'd like to note that Jorge Garcia Sensei was recently tested for and awarded his Yondan rank from Kato Shihan in Houston... You should have seen the exam - really good. Garcia Sensei will be in top form at the seminar and is bringing his personal uke so that he can best show his style and form....

I look forward to seeing as many folks as we can get into Harlingen, Texas.
