Hello from Philly!
Hi everyone, my name is Jennifer. I started training in Aikido last June. I've also been training in Yagyu Shinkage Ryu (a Japanese sword art) for a little over two years.
I just passed my 4th kyu test on New Year's Eve, and feel like I'm starting to get a hang of certain techniques, but I'm still very much a rank beginner.
Looking forward to continuing my training, and getting to know everyone here.

Thanks for the welcome, guys.

Re: Hello from Philly!
Yes, I've met both and trained a little with both. I find them to be excellent practitioners and teachers, and they have my utmost respect.
They probably think I'm a bit of a boob though... I haven't been downtown in about 2 years, so if you've joined in that time frame, we probably haven't met. But please pass my regards to them, and to Karen V.W. as well.
Best,
Ron

Re: Hello from Philly!
Will do, Ron. I'm sure Karen would love to hear from you.
I rejoined the Yagyu group in November 2004 (I first joined in 1996), so I don't think we've crossed paths...
And... GO EAGLES!!
