Eek! A survey

Hands up all those who think we should be smoking dope whilst doing internal aiki and unlocking the third wave which will make aikido our own and enable us to do real martial arts if attacked on the street whilst practising our aiki way as we walk...........

If your temper rises withdraw your hand, if your hand rises withdraw your temper.

Re: A survey

Don't forget dogs hanging out and beer and really good third wave coffee. Maybe some Tesla cars, too.

And Cliff's going to be DJ'ing Black Metal music. And his system goes to 11!

Yeah I know right? I have been lurking here for years now and I am amazed at what total garbage this site has become. All of the quality posters have gone and all that's left is people posting their ridiculous theories in place of being able to actually do anything. Aikiweb is going full speed ahead towards irrelevance in the AIkido world.

Re: A survey

If you consider it garbage, why do you continue to lurk? It would seem to be a waste of your time, so why do you choose to spend your time that way?

I consider it to be like just about any non-curated site on the net: mostly chaff, sometimes outright toxic garbage, occasionally a gem. If this is troubling to you, I suggest gardening -- really. It gives one perspective on how much dirt and muck you have to dig through to get one beautiful flower.

Are you going back to lurking?

And the necessity of weeding your garden.

Re: A survey

Smoking? Introducing chemicals into your lungs - sounds pretty self-destructive even if there is an associated buzz. Surely there are other less harmful ways to introduce THC to your brain?

Not interested. Reality is strange enough.

Re: A survey

Sorry, my bad for starting this. I looked at several threads and got a BS overdose. I know that Oscar Wilde said that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit and thus have I sunk low indeed for my sarcasm was not even funny. I wa going to register on The Voices of Experience forum but then I noticed that nobody posts there at all, I wonder why?
Where are the wiser heads in all this? I guess I still haven't wrapped my mind around the great democracy that the Internet has become.
Perhaps you can just kill this Jun and accept my apologies
Alec

Because it's like a bad auto accident. It is gruesome and horrible, yet you can't seem to look away.

I guess. People say this a lot. I don't have that problem, of not being able to look away from something I consider gruesome and horrible. Maybe it's a matter of experience. Do you also spend your money to watch those appalling slasher-torture horror movies?

Now why would I do that.. when ISIS posts much better material on the Internet for free?
