Oberlin Aikikai and Cleveland Aikikai will host a 2008 Winter Term Aikido Seminar featuring Ellis Amdur Sensei between January 25th and January 27th, 2008.

The seminar will take place in Hales Gym in Oberlin College, 180 W Lorain St., Oberlin, Ohio. Classes are scheduled for Friday 7-9 p.m., Saturday 12:30-2:30 and 4-6 p.m., Sunday 10-1 p.m.
Seminar cost: $90, or $25 per class.
For more information visit: http://www.oberlin.edu/stuorg/Aikido/, or call 216-3922274.

During the Winter Term Seminar in Oberlin Aikikai Ellis Amdur will be presenting his solo training exercises which he has developed to assist people in weaving together disparate aikido techniques into one coherent method of execution. The goal is to develop one's practice in such a way that there is no division between atemi, throwing techniques and kaeshiwaza.

Greetings All,

I recently spoke with Ellis, and he stated that we will not need weapons for this seminar. Pack your bags accordingly --- see you on the mat!

My inner budoka and my inner air traveler are of different minds about this.

Both of them hope that some kind local soul just happens to bring a bo and a couple of bokken. Nudge nudge, wink wink.
