Aikido Clip-Art

Hi folks,

So, it's come to my attention that the AikiWeb Image Gallery's "Clip Art" section is entirely empty!

Are there any folks out there with artisitic talent who are willing to contribute some original clip art for everyone? They should be placed into the public domain (ie anyone can use it for anything they want) and can't be copyrighted. I'm looking for "original" pieces of clip-art rather than ones that other people have done to make sure the images are OK to be used by others and re-distrubted. (This means, of course, no images from Oscar Ratti!)

If you have the artistic talent and wish to contribute, please upload your clip art images here:

Thanks!

Re: Aikido Clip-Art

Hi everyone,

Well, we've only had one upload so far, thanks to Stefan Schroeder (thanks!).

I'm still looking for generous, artistic folks out there who are able to contribute clip art images to the AikiWeb Image Gallery (as outlined in the above post). To upload, go to the following page and click on the "upload photos" link at the top right of the page:

http://www.aikiweb.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=514

Tangentially, I just went and uploaded a few dozen images of the characters "ai ki do" (in Japanese kanji) in hopes that people can use them in flyers and such. You can find them here:

Re: Aikido Clip-Art

I really like that first one you posted, Jun. Would you mind terribly if I used it as my icon, at least until I can create one of my own?

Re: Aikido Clip-Art

Hi Rob,

I only uploaded the various "aikido" characters...

If you're talking about Stefan Schroeder's Aikido Icon, it sounds like it's free to use as long as you give it credit. You can find Stefan's exact wording on the page referenced in the link above.
