Workshop with Mike Sigman August 8 & 9 in Southern California

In an effort to provide internal training from coast to coast and bookend the continent, Orange County Aiki Kai will host a workshop with Mike Sigman August 8th & 9th.

Mike plans on utilizing a structured development using 2-person exercises, starting from a basic level, and develop skills through a logical progression to fairly sophisticated usage of kokyu. Ki/suit training will be done as an adjunct using exercises and breathing techniques so that an attendee can work by himself to increase his body skills and conditioning the in the following months. Some basic use of power-release methods will be taught for kokyunage and atemi.

Schedule for the workshop: 11am to 6pm on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4p.m. on Sunday, broken into individual sessions each day. Participation will be Saturday/Sunday for $165 or Saturday only for $100. No Sunday only participation.

The workshop will be restricted to 30 participants to ensure hands on interaction with everyone by Mike. Dress will be casual.

More details will be available in a few days, feel free to contact me if you have questions that can't wait. Thanks
Gary

Re: Workshop with Mike Sigman August 8 & 9 in Southern California

Incidentally, people who are planning on coming and who are not on the QiJin forum are welcome to join in order to get a feel for the jargon/terms. Just p.m. me. And of course people who are planning on coming are welcome to suggest areas/topics in which they are interested to have covered at the workshop.

Best.
