Little Help Here...Sankyo

Hey there All...

Concerning sankyo, when one enters into an opponent and snatches the arm (wrist) and passes under the arm while turning and going into sankyo, facing the same way as opponent...Does this motion have a term specific name in Japanese? or is it just...irimi no *blah*blah*?

Thanks All...
Regards,
Walt

Re: Little Help Here...Sankyo

I believe the movement pattern would be uchi (inside turning).

The term in Japanese is tenkai. It is one of the 3 taisabaki movements.
